Movie Club is a free site for running a movie club with friends. This page explains what it stores and who can see it.

What we store

Your Google sign-in: your email address and the name and picture on your Google account. We use your email only to sign you in.
What you add to your clubs: your name in each club, screenings, ratings, reviews, votes, missed screenings and party-mode images.
Your watchlist: films you saved to pick later.
Display settings such as color palettes are saved in your browser only, not on our servers.

Everything in a club is visible only to that club's members. Nobody can see a club without joining it, and joining needs the club's invite link.
Your watchlist is visible only to you.
Your email address isn't shown to other members.

Supabase hosts the database, sign-in and image storage.
Google handles sign-in.
TMDB (The Movie Database) supplies film search, details and posters. Your browser contacts TMDB directly when you search for a film. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
GitHub Pages serves the site.

We don't sell your data, show ads or use tracking or analytics.

Leave a club from its settings (the gear icon). Your name and ratings stay in the club's history, no longer linked to your account.
Delete your account from the gear icon in a club, or at the bottom of your clubs page. This removes your sign-in and your watchlist, and unlinks you from every club. A club nobody else has joined is deleted along with everything in it.
A club admin can delete their club, which removes everything in it for everyone.
